CRISTIANO RONALDO stopped Real Madrid star Isco from coming on during last week’s 3-0 defeat to Barcelona, according to reports.
Ronaldo toiled as Real Madrid slumped to a humiliating defeat against Barcelona at the Bernabeu in El Clasico last week.
The 32-year-old missed a sitter early on, with Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Aleix Vidal going on to make him regret it.
Many were surprised at Real’s team before the game with Isco, Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale all left on the bench.
And while Asensio and Bale were introduced with the match already lost, Isco was forced to sit out and watch events unfold from the bench.
The Spain international’s omission has not gone down well in the capital, with Los Blancos fans huge admirers of the 25-year-old and growing frustrated with Cristiano Ronaldo.
And website Diario Gol have sensationally claimed that Ronaldo was the one who stopped him coming on against Barcelona.
It is said he instructed manager Zinedine Zidane to bring on Asensio instead.
Isco looked set to come on with Barcelona boasting a two-goal lead.
But the dismissal of Dani Carvajal prompted Zidane to change tact and bring on the big guns instead.
Ronaldo supposedly prefers Real when they have Asensio and Bale on the pitch.
And it appears the decisions of the former Manchester United star cost his team dear.
Meanwhile, Isco has fired back at reports claiming he refused to come on against Barcelona.
“Stop spreading s***,” Isco snapped on Twitter.
”My two team-mates were already set to come on.
“I didn’t know that you could have four changes.”
