REAL MADRID star Marco Asensio may join Manchester United if Chelsea star Eden Hazard arrives at the Bernabeu, reports say.
Manchester United emerged as potential suitors for Asensio with his Real Madrid future in up in the air.
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema all toiling for Los Blancos, manager Zinedine Zidane still seems reluctant to put his faith in Asensio.
And Spanish website Diario Gol say the Real Madrid player has an offer from United on the table.
Jose Mourinho’s men are closing in on a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal and Express Sport understands that deal could be completed in the next 48 hours.
But Sanchez, should he move to Old Trafford, may be joined by Asensio at the end of the season.
Diario Gol say the player is aware of two transfer deals that may influence a potential transfer.
David De Gea remains on the agenda of Real Madrid despite seeing a move controversially collapse back in 2015.
And Mourinho, despite expressing a desire to tie the shotstopper down to a new contract, supposedly thinks he may need a new No 1.
As a result, he is willing to offer De Gea to Real – but only if it means United signing Asensio in return.
Another deal that could influence things is one for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
The Belgium international has emerged as one of Los Blancos’ top targets for the summer.
And his arrival would likely force Asensio even further down the pecking order.
